B.C. Loch-Style Fly Fishing Championship
Dates: June 16, 17 & 18, 2011
Fly fishers from all across North America, Europe and the United Kingdom are invited to attend this international loch-style competition. Members of the Canadian and U.S. national fly fishing teams will also be on hand and will be competing for the team and individual medals, titles and prizes.
Venue: The Trojan Pond, near the town of Logan Lake, British Columbia
Competition Rules: FIPS-MOUCHE rules apply
Eligible species: Rainbow Trout
Minimum length: 25cm
Maximum number of competitors: 50 anglers (10 five-man teams)
Competitors can register as teams or will be assigned to a team if they chose to register as an individual (registration is based on a first come - first served basis)
Awards for top three teams and individuals
Entry fee includes angling permits and the use of the competition boats and waters for both days, along with 2 hardy breakfasts and buffet-style lunches that will be served on both days of the competition - courtesy of Highland Valley Copper. Proceeds to be donated to B.C. Children's Hospital (we raised almost $16,000.00 at the 2011 championship).
